About Me

My photo
Revdgray
The title of this blog was inspired by a conversation I had in the early days of ministry with a non church goer. I had arranged to meet her to discuss a baptism for her children. She said to me "I like you. You're not like a normal vicar are you?" (a) I don't know what a "normal" vicar is like and (b) I'm not a vicar. I am a Methodist minister (Vicar is a term used in the Anglican church for a parish priest.) However, I like the sentiment a lot. And the day I become like a "normal vicar" is the day I've lost my calling. The views expressed in this blog are my own and not necessarily those of the Methodist Church or indeed anyone else!
